Living Palisade

Living Palisade is a Tower Defense game about how various species synergize together to retaliate against daunting humans and their technology.

Through this game, we want to spread awareness of the importance of reforestation as the forest provides habitat for many species of flora and fauna, especially the natives. By having the tower represented as a tree.

We also want to promote the importance of biodiversity as it supports the ecosystem in the forest. By having a mechanic that gives a positive effect when a variety of trees are placed together.

Flora and fauna in this game are inspired by the rainforest of Sumatra.

How to Play

Placing a Tree

• Click on a Tree on the UI
• Then Click on an empty tile

Objective

Survive 10 waves of enemies

Manual

Tree Type

Attacker Tree

• This type of tree deals damage to surrounding enemies
  • Meranti: shoot projectile
  • Bunga Bangkai: aura damage

Production Tree

• This tree generates Seed to spawn more Trees
  • Ficus Padana: Generate Seed every interval

Buff Tree

• This type of tree empowers surrounding trees by increasing their Stat
  • Kedondong: Damage and Production
  • Trembesi: Interval Speed

Synergy Upgrade

Each tree has up to two potential upgrades called Synergy. Trees got new ability upon Synergy.

Meranti

• Synergy A
  • Effect: Additional Turret
  • Unlock Condition: Adjacent to 2 Trembesi tree
• Synergy B
  • Effect: Shot double Projectile
  • Unlock Condition: Adjacent to 2 Ficus Padana tree

Bunga Bangkai

• Synergy A
  • Effect: -2 Stage Speed for enemies within attack range
  • Unlock Condition: Adjacent to Trembesi and Kedondong
• Synergy B
  • Effect: Scaling Damage based on the number of enemies within attack range
  • Unlock Condition: Adjacent to Ficus Padana and Kedondong

Trembesi (Buff Speed)

• Synergy
  • Effect: Spawn Tiger unit
  • Unlock Condition: Adjacent to 2 Meranti and a Lane

Kedondong (Buff Attack)

• Synergy
  • Effect: Spawn Elephant unit
  • Unlock Condition: Adjacent to Bunga Bangkai, Ficus Padana, and a Lane

Ficus Padana (Production)

• Synergy A
  • Effect: Auto collect
  • Unlock Condition
• Synergy B
  • Effect: Spawn Magic Fruit
  • Unlock Condition

Tree Limitation

Two Bunga Bangkai can't be placed adjacent to each other
